The Providence Show this year was the first time that I had rented my own booth. It was a great way to break into the world of Craft Shows! Karla Little, the show director, was very attentive and helpful all the way up to the show, and maybe even more so during the show. I realized that I have made quite a few pieces of furniture in the past 2 years, as I had a lot of it there. It was the first time that I have had so much of my furniture in one place! I made two new tables for the show, the first being a Tiger-Maple & Walnut Nightstand, and the second being a Fiddleback-Maple & Mahogany Bowed Coffee Table. Both new pieces got a lot of attention and I received very positive feedback on all my work. There was a large contingent of North Bennet Streeters at the show, and it was fun to see what everyone else has been up to! - Mike

"[The Annual Evening of Traditional Craft is an] event [which] provides an opportunity each year to admire the accomplishments of our graduates and to celebrate the community of students, faculty, staff and supporters that makes up this extraordinary school." - Show Program
This was a really fun evening for me to catch up with some old friends and instructors, as well as meet some new people who are responsible for keeping up the standard which the school maintains so well. There were a lot of beautiful pieces of furniture there, from many different graduates and disciplines. I got the chance to show the latest piece I have finished up, which is a Serpentine Dressing Mirror, made of Mahogany, Ebony & Thuya Burl. - Mike
